Come enjoy an immersive 360-degree projection experience, bringing you face-to-face with the web of life in the Salish Sea. This program is brought to you through a partnership with Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association, the Bellingham Public Library, and Friends of the San Juans. Join us to see our local salmon in their native habitat and learn how to help support this keystone species.

Join Bernice and learn a variety of fun songs, rhymes, and lap plays. We will read stories and talk about the five early literacy practices: talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing with your baby and how to easily incorporate these into your daily routines. The last portion of class is dedicated to baby play time and time for parents/caregivers to connect. *NOTE: Registration is required. You are registering for a full 6 week class. Community Salmon Release

Maritime Heritage Park Amphitheatre
It’s time to say goodbye to our salmon! All are welcome to join us as we wish our community-raised chum salmon luck on the next step of their journey. From 4:00 – 5:00 pm, attendees will be invited to release a salmon fry into Whatcom Creek with the help of representatives from the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA) and the Bellingham Public Library. Footwear with strong traction is encouraged. Family Storytime featuring salmon to follow. We hope you can join us for this special event!
