Bellingham Public Library patrons will see some digital updates beginning in July 2021. The MyLIBRO app has updated to version 3.0, and digital research tools have moved from the ProQuest platform to Gale, with subject topics including business, health, academics, literature and more.
MyLIBRO 3.0
On the myLIBRO app, Bellingham Public Library patrons can search the catalog, place holds, check their account status and more. To update to version 3.0, patrons who already have myLIBRO app will simply need to log out and log back in with their Library card to access the new features such as:
- Audiobooks & Book Recommendations – Pro-active suggestions for materials like Popular Books & New Arrivals
- Push Notifications – Improved view of events, new and other important updates.
- Enhanced Scheduling Capabilities – Intuitive scheduling of hybrid library services and pickup of materials of all kinds
- Search by Category – Patrons now have a full list of categories to help assist them in finding what they are looking for
Gale Digital Research Tools
Through the Washington State Library Statewide Database Licensing (SDL) project, Bellingham Public Library has gained access to Gail digital research tools, which provide cross-curricular content for all public library patrons, from students to general researchers to the business community.
