Screen Scene: Best Practices for Using Screen Media with Young Children

Children and families are invited to watch new-release movies rated PG at the library! Movie description, dates and times are provided, below. Due to our licensing contract, we are unable to publish the title of the movies. See if you can guess, or give us a call at 360-778-7200 for the movie titles. Movies are shown in the Lecture Room at the Central Library.

  • Monday, December 17
    2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
    Enjoy this animated sequel about a family of superheroes. In this movie, Bob Parr has unwittingly demonstrated repeatedly that the Supers can cause as much damage as villains while protecting the world, which causes his wife, Elastigirl, to be chosen as the face of a movement to make Supers legal again. Still, it will take the entire gang to take down a new supervillain bent on mind-controlling the entire world! Movie is rated PG.

    Enjoy the third in an animated series in which the monster family embarks on a vacation on a luxury monster cruise ship so Drac can take a summer vacation from providing everyone else’s vacation at the family lodging. It’s smooth sailing for Drac’s Pack as the monsters indulge in all of the shipboard fun the cruise has to offer. But the dream vacation turns into a nightmare when Mavis realizes Drac has fallen for the mysterious captain of the ship, Ericka, who hides a dangerous secret that could destroy all of monster kind. Movie is rated PG.
