Children ages 4 – 12 are invited to join us for open, creative building and play! All supplies are provided including Legos, straw connectors and more. Duplos and other blocks will also be available for younger children.

Winter Movie Matinees

Join us for newly-released movies during Winter Break! Due to our movie licensing agreement, we are unable to publish the movie titles. However, can you guess from the descriptions below? If not, please call 360-778-7200 for movie titles. Movies are shown in the Lecture Room of the Central Library.

Thursday, December 26 from 2:00 – 3:40 p.m.: Enjoy this animated sequel based upon a popular game. In this movie, a new threat emerges that puts both feathered-created island and Pig Island in danger and the inhabitants decide to forge an unsteady truce and form an unlikely super-team to save their homes. Movie is rated PG.

Monday, December 30 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.: Enjoy this remake of the 1994 animated film where after the murder of his father, a young cub named Simba flees his kingdom only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery. Movie is rated PG.

Thursday, January 2 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.: After discovering a Yeti on the roof of her apartment building, teenage Yi and her two friends embark on an epic quest to reunite the magical creature with his family. But to do so, they must stay one step ahead of a wealthy financier and a determined zoologist who want to capture the beast for their own gain. Movie is rated PG.

Friday, January 3 from 2:00 – 3:45 p.m.: Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare the main character for her biggest challenge yet: High School. When her parents mysteriously disappear while searching for a lost civilization, she must swing into action and lead a group of ill-equipped high schoolers on a quest to save them. It is a high-stakes mission as they navigate the jungle, outrun treasure hunters and solve ancient puzzles. Movie is rated PG.
