Builders Club

Children ages 4 – 12 are invited to join us for open, creative building and play! All supplies are provided including Legos, straw connectors and more. Duplos and other blocks will also be available for younger children.

Kaleidoscope Play & Learn

Summer Movie Matinees

Children and their families are invited to join us every Thursday, June 27 – August 8, for a PG-rated movie at 2pm in the Lecture Room of the Central Library!

Thursday, June 27: It’s been five years since everything was awesome in this new-release animated movie, and citizens are now facing a new threat: Duplo invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. Movie is rated PG.

Thursday, July 11: Chief and ruler of Berk, Hiccup, has created a gloriously chaotic utopia for large, flying creatures. When the sudden appearance of female Light Fury coincides with the darkest threat to their village, Hiccup and Toothless must leave the only home they’ve know and journey to a hidden world thought only to exist in myth. Movie is rated PG.

Thursday, July 18: Circus owner Max Medici enlists former star Hold Farrier and his children to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that the elephant can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting an entrepreneur who recruits the young star for his newest entertainment venture, Dreamland. However, behind its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets. Movie is rated PG.

Summer Gymnastics with Bellingham Bay Gymnastics and Preschool

Join us for a warmup, stretch, parachute activity, and guided lesson in basic gymnastics skills such as jumping, rolling, cartwheeling and more! Also, there will be a demo of the “ninja” style skills being taught this summer at Bellingham Bay Gymnastics. Please call 360-778-7200 with questions.

Financial Beginnings: Grades 3 – 6

Class is taught by Blayne Barnhart with Financial Beginnings Washington. Through a variety of hands-on activities and games, kids will learn how to create a budget, use banks and credit unions (making deposits and withdrawals), and how credit and interest work. Kids will also be able to distinguish between the roles of producers and consumers and understand supply vs. demand. Note: registration is for all three dates. 51st Annual Children’s Craft Fair

Friday, July 26

On the day of the craft fair, enjoy a wide array of crafts and baked goods handmade by local youth. All items are priced $4 or less.
