Food and Shopping

Whatcom Asset Building Coalition has a link on their Food Access page to a weekly handout with updated information about local book banks.

Whatcom Council on Aging provides the local Meals on Wheels program. If you are age 60 or older, homebound, and in need of meals please call 360-746-6480 or complete a request form online.

Volunteering

The Volunteer Center of Whatcom County has information about volunteering opportunities.

WhatcomTalk has an article about local efforts to make facemasks. The local group has a Facebook group but it requires a Facebook logon to access.

The group coordinating our local governments’ response has forms for potential volunteers to fill out.

Local Seminars and Presentations

The College of Business and Economics at WWU has a panel series called ‘Western Insights’ focused on information about the pandemic and its local impacts. All the sessions are free, available to the everyone, and are recorded.
