What is the World Languages Collection?
A small but growing collection of books, DVDs, magazines and newspapers in three languages: Spanish, Russian, and Chinese.
Where is the World Languages Collection?
We are located in the Bellingham Public Library, Central Library, 210 Central Avenue, Bellingham, Washington. The collection is located on the main floor near the Teen Space.
The collection is available during library hours.
What is in the collection?
Fiction, both translated popular American fiction and fiction from other nations. Nonfiction titles cover topics such as health, cookbooks, and home maintenance.
How can I find these titles in the catalog?
When you search the catalog you will find materials in both the Bellingham Public Library and also in the Whatcom County Library System. If you find a title that is not in the Bellingham Public Library, or is checked out, you can place a hold on it and it will be sent to the Library branch you normally visit.
The quickest way to locate material in the world languages collection is to type in an author or title.
If you want to browse the language collections, use the Advanced Search on the library catalog. Select the language and audience, limit to books and press search.
This will bring up a list of titles, divided by fiction, nonfiction, adult and juvenile (children’s).
