Filtered Search Engines

Most major search engines offer functionality that allows users to filter out certain types of objectionable content, including:

Bing
Click the gear in the upper right of the screen for Preferences. On the Preferences page, change the SafeSearch filtering from Moderate to Strict. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save. This returns you to the Bing home page.

Google
After submitting any search, click the “Settings” button (cog icon) displayed at the top right corner of the result page. Under “SafeSearch filters,” check or uncheck the box next to “Turn on SafeSearch.” At the bottom of the page, click Save.

Yahoo
After submitting any search, click the “Settings” button (cog icon) displayed at the top right corner of the result page. Click on Preferences, then choose Filter Level: Strict, Moderate (no images), or Off. At the bottom of the page, click Save.
