Guidelines
and Instructions
for
Submitting Your Story
Teachers/Group Leaders are encouraged to
assist their elementary/primary students (kindergarten – grade 6)
in collaborating as a group to create a story
for posting online to We
Share A Story 2004-05.
Note:
Stories for web posting will have school/organization administration
approval.
Books assist with initiating original
storytelling. Click Here
for suggestions.
All
stories would:
include
the school's/organization's name, city, country, and school's email address.
be
created by students, written in English, and contain 1000 words or less.
include
a landmark familiar to your country
(for example: river/mountain/city/any site unique to your country).
mention
an animal or plant found in your country.
deliver
a message of interest to children
in a story of fact or fiction.
(for example: friendship, courage, environmental awareness, growing up)
be
submitted in one of the following formats:
- M.S. Word (email attachment)
- PDF file (email attachment)
- Email – typed out as a message
- Snail Mail
Important!
*Each submission will include a brief statement
from the school’s/organization's principal / leader allowing:
story
to be posted to the We Share A Story 2004-05
website.
the
school’s/organization's email address to be posted with the story.
*Students
not affiliated with a public/private school or organization are encouraged
to contact their neighborhood school.
