Once there was a bald eagle named Bob. His home at Mt. Baker was in a tree because it was so cold up there.

One day there was a boy who loved snowboarding who boarded down a steep hill at Mt. Baker. His name was Humid the Human.

One time Humid’s snow bindings got caught in a tree and he almost fell off a cliff. Then he was snowboarding along and he came to a sharp turn and flew off the edge. He managed to land softly on a big pillow of snow and he started going back down a hill.

When he was walking (when he fell he broke his snowboard) there was an avalanche and snow fell all over him and he was stuck in the snow. Then Bob pulled him out of the snow with his beak.

When Humid saw he was up in the air he said, "Whoa!" Then he saw Bob who was carrying him through the air and Bob took him to his nest.

That’s how a bald eagle can save your life.
