Storytimes



The Central Library offers regularly scheduled storytimes for children of all ages.  Storytimes are free of charge and do not require pre-registration.  Check our online event calendar or contact the Children's Library for the current schedule.

Little Storytime

For children ages birth - 3 years with an adult partner.
A half-hour of simple stories, songs, finger and lap play and creative movement.  Lots of fun!
Mondays through March 26 at 10:05 a.m.; 10:35 a.m.; and 11:05 a.m. (*Library closed February 20)
Tuesdays through March 27 at 10:05 a.m.; 10:35 a.m.; and 11:05 a.m.
Wednesdays through March 28 at 10:05 a.m. and 10:35 a.m.
Please choose the one session that works best for your family.

Time for Tales

For children ages 5 - 8 years (parents welcome!)
A half-hour of stories, songs, movement and a craft.
Wednesdays, January 18 - March 28 from 2:00 - 2:30 p.m.

For children ages 2 1/2 - 4 years with an adult partner.
A half-hour of stories, songs, an activity and the hokey pokey.
Thursdays through March 29 at 10:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

For families with children ages 4 - 8 years.  Younger siblings welcome.
A half-hour of stories and songs!
Every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the Dodson Room in the Children's Library

Fairhaven Family Story Night with the Bellingham Storytellers Guild

For children ages 6 and up; adults welcome.
Enjoy an hour of traditional storytelling.
Every third Friday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Fireplace Room at the Fairhaven Branch Library.
