Tax Aid

Limited IRS tax forms and instruction booklest have arrived and are located in the lower lobby at the Central Library and at the Fairhaven and Barkely Branches. If you need a form immediately, please visit www.irs.gov .

AARP Volunteers will once again be providing free Tax Aid at the Central Library on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers will be located either on the Lower Level or in the Lecture Room. The schedule is as follows:

January 21 through April 17*

Monday - Thursday 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 1:00 - 4:30 p.m.

*Library is closed Monday, January 16 and Monday, February 20

Please bring the following:

Proof of a Social Security Number for each person on the return
Picture ID for the taxpayer
Married, filing jointly? Bring your spouse
All tax documents
Last year's tax return
All proofs of income and expenses
A sample check for a fast refund

You will need to fill out an intake form prior to receiving tax assistance.
