SOLVE A MYSTERY AT THE LIBRARY AND WIN!

Mystery writer Elizabeth George is coming to Whatcom County in February as part of the Whatcom READS! program. To celebrate, Bellingham Public Library and the Whatcom County Library System and the are teaming-up on a clue-finding mystery hunt!

If you like solving puzzles, stop by the Central Library once a week starting Saturday, January 14, 2012 to pick up clues that lead to "evidence" hidden in that library. Put the evidence together and solve a "who done it" rebus puzzle which will qualify you for a drawing to win a copy of Elizabeth George's newest hardcover Inspector Lynley novel, Believing the Lie.

You can find the clues posted here each Saturday. There are five clues in all, one revealed each Saturday leading up to Elizabeth George’s visit February 21 through 23. Once a clue is revealed it will stay available so you can join the game anytime. After the fifth week, “detectives” can turn in their clue cards with the solution to be entered into the drawing for the book.

Whatcom READS! is organized by the public and academic libraries of Whatcom County and our Community Partner, Village Books. Major funding is provided by the Friends of the Bellingham Public Library and the Whatcom County Library Foundation. For 2012, Whatcom READS! received additional support through a grant from Humanities Washington.
